Don’t Get Caught Inside!
I kept hearing this over and over and over yesterday while shooting photos in South Orange County. It was like the classic broken record cliché, but coming from multiple people at different times. In true fashion of keeping a spot secret, I won’t say where I was, but I will say if you got in trouble out there, there was no one else around to help you except other surfers! And….No, it was not the Wedge in Newport!
Let see if this place, on this day (April 11th 2007), will make it into the mags. I didn’t see anyone else taking photos except one guy from the water, (who I didn’t even know was there until I looked at the photos on my computer). The mags had to have someone on this right, being that they are also located in S.O.C.?
Ironically it was Wednesday, does giant surf just hit Wednesday’s like a magnet or what? I haven’t seen a place light up like this for a while, here are some photos. A few more can be found in the Photo Gallery.
